Finding the perfect shade of lipstick can be a doggone difficult task, but it was no problem for this little guy.

Australian author Jenna Guillaume posted this photo of her dog, Jasper, wearing an absolutely perfect shade of pink.

According to Jenna, he got into a tube of “Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar that is no longer on the market.” 

Despite the tragedy that Jenna will no longer be able to wear said lipstick, at least Jasper seized the opportunity to match his nails to his lipstick and get a great photo out of it. Read more…

RIP Nigel, the saddest bird in the world

Move aside Romeo and Juliet. The award for most tragic love story now belongs to Nigel the bird and his concrete beloved.

Per The Guardian, the story begins in 2013 when Nigel, a gannet, showed up on Mana Island, an uninhabited piece of land off the coast of New Zealand. Initially, conservationists had placed fake concrete gannets on the island in order to attract some real birds. 

Soon after he moved to the island, conservationists realized that Nigel was alone—and that he was insistent on romancing one of the concrete birds.  Read more…

This baby Black Rhino, prancing in the mud and rain, is too pure for this world

Some creatures are glass-half-fullers, like this little Southern Black Rhinoceros calf having a bit of a prance in the mud.

The yet-to-be-named calf was born on Oct. 31, at Taronga Western Plains Zoo outside of Dubbo, Australia.

Born to mother Bakhita and father Kwanzaa, the Halloween miracle is the second calf born this year as a result of the zoo’s Black Rhino breeding program.

Watch as little, let’s call him Spooky Boots for now, splashes about in the mud, then races around in the rain while mum takes cover. Read more…
