Apple turns Ariana Grande and other musicians into Memoji for its latest ads

Just in time for the Grammy Awards, Apple has unveiled three new ads for Apple Music, featuring new singles from Ariana Grande, Khalid and Florida Georgia Line. RIP Bitmoji: Apple debuts ‘Memoji’ with iOS 12

TwitterFacebook

Snapchat may be shaking, because Apple will now let you become an Animoji with their new Memoji feature.

You’ll remember Animojis as those 3D emojis capable of replicating your facial expressions and voice. The key difference with Memoji? Instead of being a bear or tiger, you can be yourself.

You might be doing a double take with Samsung’s AR Emoji, but don’t. While similar, Apple’s Memoji look much less awkward, and they allow for more customizations.

As demoed on stage at WWDC 18, you’ll be able to create your own Memoji in the Messages app in iOS 12. (The new OS should launch in the fall.) You start off by choosing skin color and hairstyle. From there, you can customize almost every other feature, from earrings to glasses and much more. Read more…

TwitterFacebook

It started off as a joke, but it looks like Animoji karaoke has become official.

Sure, the iPhone X has a lot of perks like that beautiful all-glass screen, face ID, portrait mode, and more—but there’s nothing quite like what is now dubbed Animoji Karaoke

Thanks to writer Harry McCracken, there is one more thing to waste time creating and/or watching. There’s something about lip-synching emojis belting songs like Daddy Yankee’s “Gasolina” that is just…perfect. Chrissy Teigen may not like it, but we can’t get enough. Here are our favorite uses of the beautiful thing that is Animoji Karaoke.

Snap, where are my anibitmoji?

The day we’ve all been waiting for is finally here. Apple’s highly-anticipated iPhone X has made it into the hands of everyday customers. I’m a big weirdo, so I’ve been mostly looking forward to being able to use Face ID for the purposes of animoji. Animoji takes emoji to the extreme and it works using the iPhone X’s new facial recognition system. As… Read More
