Ariana Grande just made history snagging a record last held by The Beatles

Thank U, Next isn’t just dominating your playlist — it’s making music history.

According to Billboard, the success of Ariana Grande’s latest album earns her a number of major industry accolades. The most notable? By claiming the top three slots of this week’s Billboard Hot 100, Grande has achieved a triumph last held by The Beatles in 1964.

“7 Rings” comes in at No. 1 for a fourth consecutive week as “Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored” and “Thank U, Next” round out the trio.

When The Beatles achieved the same victory, their top three hits included the still-iconic “Can’t Buy Me Love,” “Twist and Shout,” and “Do You Want to Know A Secret.” So yes, this is freaking major. Read more…

Ariana Grande’s unfortunate ‘BBQ grill’ tattoo is a meme now

TwitterFacebook

Sorry, Ariana.

Although Ariana Grande probably meant well, her  botched tattoo tribute to her single “7 Rings” — which was mistranslated in Japanese to “BBQ grill” and then “fixed” to “BBQ grill finger” — is a meme now.

People are writing their favorite phrases in different languages on their hands, and then horribly mistranslating it, like calling the constantly advertised Shen Yun performances.

So I got a palm tattoo too! I wanted it to say puerta (Door) but it hurt like hell so I shortened it a bit. Still means the same thing I think! pic.twitter.com/Iq1j4rBehV

Ariana Grande’s new tattoo has a hilarious misspelling

TwitterFacebook

Not all tattoos turn out as expected. Ariana Grande knows this to be true, as the singer just experienced a pretty hilarious tattoo fail firsthand.

Grande planned to get the title of her latest single, “7 Rings,” tattooed on her palm in Japanese, but after sharing a photo of the new ink on Instagram she learned that isn’t exactly the translation.

Instead, Grande’s newest tattoo says “shichirin,”  which is a small Japanese barbecue grill. Whoops!

for those who are confused, ariana grande got a tattoo on her hand in japanese intended to spell out “7 rings” and posted it on instagram (now deleted), but japanese people in the comments started saying how the REAL translation is bbq grill pic.twitter.com/rF0NvEa9Yv
