Think again — looks like Cate Blanchett has them.

The Thor: Ragnarok star rocked up to the the 72nd British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs) at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Sunday.

Blanchett donned a stunning black dress by Scottish designer Christopher Kane, while also sporting a familiar-looking feature.

He may not have won the BAFTA, but he generally wins at life.

Call Me By Your Name writer James Ivory won the BAFTA for best adapted screenplay on Sunday night. Ivory is 89 years old, and received some help getting up to the stage from one of the film’s stars, Timothée Chalamet.

Needless to say, everyone found it adorable.

While I’m bummed @RealChalamet didn’t win (literally no one can tell me his wasn’t the most deserving performance), this win is a thrill & this moment is a delight🍑 https://t.co/2XlCAU376g

Salma Hayek presented the award for Best Actor at the BAFTAs on Sunday night — and she really wasn’t messing around.

“In this very important and historical year for women,” said Hayek, “I am here on this legendary stage to celebrate… men.”

Then, after the nominees had been announced, Hayek opened the golden envelope. And proceeded to announce the winner as “Frances McDormand”. Read more…

Aziz Ansari is not here for award shows anymore

TwitterFacebook

Sometimes, there’s a bit of truth in a joke no matter how funny it may be.

Aziz Ansari proved that last night when he went on a bit that dragged award shows in general—all while he was receiving the Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence In Comedy award at the 2017 AMD British Academy Britannia Awards last night.

“One thing I hate about honors is you can’t accept them from home,” he said, complaining about how the British awards were taking place in Los Angeles.

“I was in London! I met this lovely woman there, we were drinking flat whites, eating shepherd’s pie, riding the ‘tube,'” he said. “Who comes in and ruins my amazing British experience? The fucking BAFTAs!” Read more…
