Gus Fring is the worst character on ‘Better Call Saul’

TwitterFacebook

Four seasons in, Better Call Saul has proven, in many ways, to be an even better show – more complicated, more wrenching, more humane – than its predecessor. That’s no small feat, considering Breaking Bad is one of the most well-regarded shows in recent memory.

But even great shows have their missteps, and Better Call Saul‘s biggest one is Gus Fring.

Fring’s back… unfortunately

As a Breaking Bad fan favorite, Fring descended upon Better Call Saul with tons of hype. Indeed, the entirety of Season 2 had been building up to his arrival – the episode titles turned out to be a puzzle spelling “FRING’S BACK,” and that season closed with an anonymous note to Mike that all but confirmed Fring would be swinging by the Saul storyline soon.  Read more…

‘Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul joins the cast of ‘Westworld’ for Season 3

TwitterFacebook

In a twist that Westworld might actually be able to pull off, Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul is reportedly joining the cast of Westworld.

According to Deadline, HBO isn’t saying much else about his role — other than confirming that he will become a series regular. So you know what that means, Reddit: It’s tinfoil time.

In a show where robots can switch brains and characters can die only to then come back in new bodies, there’s basically no limit to how they can incorporate Paul into Westworld

Ever since Season 2’s ill-received season finale basically broke all rules of logic and narrative sense, we wouldn’t be surprised if Paul was actually Dolores, who was actually the Man in Black, who was actually in a virtual time loop making meth the whole time. Read more…

Aaron Paul dressed his baby in ‘Breaking Bad’ apparel for Comic-Con and eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

TwitterFacebook

There’s a new cook in town, and she’s cute as hell.

Breaking Bad start Aaron Paul — aka Jesse Pinkman, bitch — arrived at Comic-Con in San Diego with a special guest: his 5-month old daughter, Story, who was wearing a very familiar outfit.

Story cosplayed as her dad’s meth making character, complete with a tiny yellow hazmat suit and protective headwear. And yes, it was absolute perfection.

Paul shared a selfie of the two at the big event, where the cast reunited to speak on a panel together in honor of Breaking Bad‘s 10th Anniversary Reunion. Read more…

Another ‘Breaking Bad’ character is coming to ‘Better Call Saul’… kinda

TwitterFacebook

Better Call Saul is calling in another Breaking Bad character next season — but one that not even the most hardcore fans are bound to recognize.

As announced during the Better Call Saul Comic-Con panel Thursday, Tony Dalton will show up in Season 4 as Lalo, a character who was referenced in Breaking Bad but never actually seen.

In fact, it’s Saul (née Jimmy) himself who references Lalo in the Breaking Bad Season 2 episode “Better Call Saul.”

As a masked Walt and Jesse hold Saul at gunpoint, Saul pins the blame for some unexplained crime on Nacho (played by Michael Mando in Better Call Saul), and then asks if “Lalo” sent them. Read more…

‘Better Call Saul’ will hit ‘Breaking Bad’-era scenes in upcoming season

TwitterFacebook

It has been five grueling years since we last visited Walter White and Jesse Pinkman, but… that could be about to change.

AMC’s Better Call Saul is finally allowing its time jump structure to take us right into the meat of Breaking Bad.

A recent Entertainment Weekly interview with co-creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould revealed that Better Call Saul‘s upcoming Season 4 will feature “a subplot that very squarely gets into Breaking Bad territory and brings us into the world — or at least points us on a path toward the world of Walter White and the territory of Walter White.” Read more…

‘Breaking Bad’ actor Dean Norris may have had the most glorious Twitter fail with ‘sex gifs’

TwitterFacebook

Could this be a Twitter-gaffe to rival Ed Balls Day?

Actor Dean Norris is best known for playing DEA agent and all-round hero Hank Schraeder on Breaking Bad

It seems the Norris has fallen prey to some sort of Twitter blunder, as he tweeted two very simple but surprising words on Wednesday.

“Sex gifs.”

It’s unclear at this time just what led to these words getting tweeted to his followers (all 540,000 of them). While it looks like the classic “mistook-for-the-search-bar” gaffe, there is always the chance it wasn’t Norris himself who sent the tweet, but an artful prankster. Read more…

This 1-minute, side-scrolling animated version of ‘Breaking Bad’ is amazing

TwitterFacebook

There have been a bunch of Breaking Bad compilations, edits, and parodies on YouTube in the 10 years since the show started, and there will likely be many more to come.

They’ll have a hard job outdoing the video above, though.

The one-minute recap, created by Esther Bellido, is essentially a very condensed version of the entire show — only in an animated, side-scrolling form.

It’s kind of like if Mario and Lugio had worked as meth dealers instead of plumbers. Read more…
