Casey Neistat is ‘mad’ at Burger King for their marketing ploy

TwitterFacebook

Burger King’s brilliant marketing tactic was slammed by vlogger Casey Neistat for being “exploitative” — but he ended up promoting Burger King in his call out anyway.

“I don’t like to be taken advantage of. I don’t appreciate being manipulated,” Neistat said in a video posted Tuesday. “Yet that is exactly what Burger King … did to me.”

Here’s a rundown: About a week ago, Burger King started liking people’s tweets from 2010, and Twitter users were thoroughly confused. Casey Neistat posted a screenshot of the recently liked gems, which brought even more attention to the weird likes.  Read more…

This 4-year-old ordering from the drive-thru is so cute it will make you scream

TwitterFacebook

A 4-year-old was captured ordering a meal for themselves at the drive-thru — and it’s seriously adorable.

Twitter user xo_dianny shared a video of the toddler ordering a happy meal from Burger King’s drive-thru window seamlessly, and if it weren’t for their tiny little voice, you’d never know it was actually just a little kid.

In the video, the kid orders their meal, exchanges currency, and receives their meal as if they’ve been doing so their entire life. You know, the one that began in 2014.

Even Burger King is a fan of this precious little orderer, according to the direct messages Dianny shared with the fast food giant on Twitter: Read more…

Burger King trolls IHOP in the best way possible

TwitterFacebook

Burger King just got back at IHOP in the pettiest way possible.

Sadly, IHOb doesn’t stand for International House of bancakes. The breakfast chain announced that it had changed its name as a marketing gimmick after adding new burgers to the menu — a move that annoyed a few other fast food empires and the internet at large.

In response, the Wendy’s Twitter account burned IHOP so hard its burgers will probably be inedible for a while, and Waffle House subtweeted the name change with a passive aggressive quote from Bruce Lee. But Burger King was silent on social media.  Read more…

Burger King stunt could spell the beginning of the end for Instagram Stories

TwitterFacebook

There are two plausible reactions to a new Instagram campaign from Burger King.

The first: Dope, burgers!

The second: Dang, brands are about to clog up my Stories feed.

Spanish Burger King used Instagram Stories’ polling feature to allow customers to build their own Whoppers — and then get promo codes and actually redeem them. After choosing their ingredients, customers received a code that would let them pick up their custom burgers. Based on the most popular choices, Burger King España is now offering the “Instagram Whopper” for a limited time. Read more…

TwitterFacebook

2017 has been challenging for many reasons, but we didn’t expect fast food to be one of them. Sadly, here we are.

Don’t believe me? Just take a look at this year’s most bizarre creations — anything from chicken scented bath bombs to chicken coffee. All of that actually happened this year, and they weren’t even the worst.

Take a look at a few of the atrocities that fast food companies rolled out in this sad, sad year.
