In the last year, CBD products have been popping up everywhere: You’ve probably seen CBD oil as a suggested ingredient in cocktails, or maybe a coworker has passed you some CBD gummies. (Heck, even CVS is going to start carrying CBD products.)

CBD has suddenly become a buzzworthy way to deal with all sorts of ailments — including pain — but really, there hasn’t been a whole lot of peer-reviewed studies to back up that claim. (That hasn’t stopped people from using it though, if the hundreds of reviews we read are any indication.) Read more…

CBD hemp extract products on sale: Save on gummies and capsules

TwitterFacebook

Marijuana-based CBD has been hogging the wellness industry’s spotlight in recent years, with everyone from Goop to The New York Times plugging its supposed range of health benefits.

But much like Ally’s fame eclipsed that of Jackson Maine in A Star is Born, another source of CBD — hemp — has the makings of an even hotter health trend. (You could say it’s about to go off the deep end.)

While neither of these compounds have received nearly enough research, that doesn’t seem to stop people from using it — or at the very least, Googling it. Read more…

Save an additional 15% off these CBD-infused gummies for Presidents Day

As we celebrate Presidents Day, we have a fun little trivia for you: did you know that George Washington grew hemp?

We know what you’re thinking, and nope, it’s not that kind. The American Cincinnatus grew the type of hemp that turns into a rope, not the type you smoke.

But now that we have your attention, allow us to direct you to something that is also (technically) made from hemp: CBD-infused gummies.

In case you haven’t noticed, CBD (cannabidiol) is all the rage right now. Unlike its trippy cousin THC, CBD is believed to promote a sense of calm and overall wellness, and it’s now found in a laundry list of items of varying levels of weirdness — from topical oil to sparkling water to scented candles to even mascara. CBD gummy bears on sale for over 40% off

TwitterFacebook

First, it was avocados. Then it was matcha. Now, the latest magical elixir to permeate the wellness industry is cannabidiol, also known as CBD.

Derived from industrial hemp, CBD is a nonpsychoactive compound (read: it will not make you high) that many people have found to yield all sorts of medicinal benefits like pain relief, easing anxiety, alleviating insomnia, and a whole lot more. (Actual medical studies have not quite caught up to support these claims though — so for now, any benefits are just anecdotal.)

Unlike its cousin THC, CBD will not make your neurotransmitters go ballistic. It actually does the opposite — it abates your stress and helps you calm down. That’s why it’s become the wellness circuit’s hottest commodity, making its way into a bevy of products, including bath salts, coffee, tinctures, oil, lotions, and *drum roll* gummy bears.
