Not a single soul was emotionally prepared for Daylight Savings

TwitterFacebook

Daylight Savings is a rough time for all.

Think about it — people lose an hour of sleep, they’re confused, they spend days trying to determine which clocks in their lives are displaying the correct time… it’s a mess.

To remind people to turn clocks ahead an hour at 2 a.m. Sunday, the National Park Service shared a video on Facebook of a perplexed looking fox springing headfirst into the snow. And sadly, as Americans struggled to wake up on Sunday morning they realized they were no better than this unprepared little fox.

John Krasinski to men who aren’t sexually harassing women: ‘Don’t pat yourself on the back’

TwitterFacebook

John Krasinski, the actor best-known for his role as The Office’s resident “good guy,” Jim Halpert, has some thoughts about what men need to be doing to help fight sexual harassment.

He recently spoke about the #MeToo movement to Playboy, stressing how important it is for all men — even those who don’t think they’re part of the problem — to take action.

“If you’re a male CEO and you don’t harass people, don’t pat yourself on the back,” Krasinski told Playboy. “Get other people to be more like you.”

The actor went on to explain that he owes his present day beliefs on equality to his parents, who raised him “in a very old ideal of America.” Krasinski shared he was taught to always help out his neighbors, which is why he does so now without question. Read more…

Please don’t ever hide my engagement ring in food

TwitterFacebook

I don’t have a diary but if I did, my most detailed, intimate entries would likely be descriptions of cheeseburgers. I love cheeseburgers. Like, I occasionally ease myself to sleep by scrolling through the cheeseburger hashtag on Instagram.

But despite my undying burger love, I do not want my future engagement ring presented to me on a patty of beef and melted cheese. OK?

Marriage proposals that involve sticking the ring in food might seem like a good idea — especially when someone’s as obsessed with a specific food as I am with burgers — but they’re not. They’re lazy and absurd.

The sheer act of sticking a diamond ring into whatever food or drink you deem special enough for your significant other is not only dangerous, it’s medium-key disgusting, which is why food proposals need to stop. Read more…

Yes, the band O.A.R. knows about the Russian Olympics team and they think it’s hilarious

TwitterFacebook

Dozens of stars have emerged from the 2018 Winter Olympics, but perhaps the most impressive isn’t even an athlete, it’s a band.

More than 20 years after coming together to create music, O.A.R. — you know, those guys you spent your middle school/teenage summers listening to — have become unexpectedly and overwhelmingly relevant again.

It all started when a doping scandal got Russia banned from competing as a team in the 2018 games. To participate, 169 Russian athletes decided to compete under the Olympic flag using the team name “Olympic Athletes From Russia,” which, yep you guessed it, is abbreviated “OAR.” Read more…
