That’s evidenced by challenger Pinduoduo, commonly known as PDD, which is raising more than $1 billion in fresh capital just six months after it went public. The company announced plans to sell 37 million shares in a move that will raise over $1 billion, going […]

Ellen DeGeneres and former First Lady Michelle Obama, the BFFs who took CVS by storm, are back – this time at Costco.
Ahead of Obama’s Thursday appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, DeGeneres set up an impromptu book signing for the first lady’s new memoir, Becoming, at the big-box store to get everyone hyped.
In a sneak peak shared on Instagram, DeGeneres plays the keyboard to distract Obama from her signing duties, and she brings up the elephant in the room: Why Oprah was mentioned in the book more times than the comedian and talk show host was.

Someone please tell Costco that good things really don’t have to come to an end, because they seem to think otherwise.
As reported by the Seattle Times, the wholesale giant will be retiring the Polish dog from their food court menus across the country and replaced with healthier options — and people are livid.

But once you’re done loading your cart with enough toilet paper to last six years, what do you do? You stop at the food court, that’s what.

Investors may have already placed their orders in the consumer food delivery space, but there’s still a missing recipe for solving the over $250 billion business-to-business foodservice distribution problem that’s begging for venture firms to put more cooks in the kitchen.
Stock prices for Sysco and US Foods, the two largest food distributors, are up by over 20% since last summer when Amazon bought Whole Foods. But, have these companies haven’t made any material changes to their business model to counteract the threat of Amazon. I know a thing or two about the food services industry and the need for a B2B marketplace in an industry ripe with all of our favorite buzz words: fragmentation, last mile logistics and a lack of pricing transparency.
