John Boyega got into some trouble with Stormtroopers at Disneyland

Most Star Wars fans know John Boyega as Finn, hero of the Resistance. But among First Order Stormtroopers, he’ll always be the traitorous FN-2187.

Boyega got a sharp reminder of his status among the rank-and-file of the First Order during a recent visit to Disneyland. The actor was just wandering around, minding his own business, when he was accosted — and eventually arrested! — by the white-armored troops.

The clip first surfaced in one of Boyega’s Instagram Stories, and was just so perfect that it was quickly captured and reposted in a more shareable format. Read more…

Disneyland’s new Marvel attractions look pretty legit in new concept art

As if we didn’t have enough to look forward to with the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge park expansion, Disney has released new concept art for its expanded Marvel-themed areas at select Disneyland parks.

Disney Parks first announced the attractions for Disneyland Paris, Disneyland Resort in California, and Hong Kong Disneyland in March 2018, and now we’ve got our first look at ’em.

Described by Disney as a global “Avengers Initiative,” the interconnected attractions and areas at parks around the world are themed around Marvel’s beloved heroes. Read more…

Star Wars land revealed: Here’s when you can plan your visit

It’s the moment Star Wars fans have been dreaming of ever since they caught their first glimpse of that galaxy far, far away: their opportunity to visit it in person.

Now Disney has revealed when that auspicious date will be — or at least, the season.

The company just announced that its new theme park Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will open in summer 2019 at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, and fall 2019 at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando. 

In other words, mark your calendars and start saving up those credits. Something tells us you’re gonna burn through a lot of ’em on this trip. Read more…
