Ellen DeGeneres gets a dark side with the ‘me on Ellen’ meme

TwitterFacebook

Ellen DeGeneres’ on-air surprises are iconic.

From bringing Missy Elliot onto her show to sing with her “funky white sister” to introducing kids to Barack Obama, Ellen has a habit of bringing people their heroes — but it takes a dark turn with the “Me on Ellen” memes.

Twitter users imagine themselves as guests on Ellen, where the talk show hosts surprises them with exactly what they want, no matter how gruesome it might be. In one of the first versions of the meme, Ellen brought death itself on to meet Twitter user @cavedevice.  Read more…

Use this Walmart promo code to save $10 thanks to Ellen DeGeneres

We kinda miss those crazy giveaways Oprah used to do on her show. There was something equally heartwarming and hilarious about the sheer insanity that broke out when she gave her entire audience new cars.
If anyone has tried to fill that gap, it’…

Watch Ellen DeGeneres pester Michelle Obama during her book signing

TwitterFacebook

Ellen DeGeneres and former First Lady Michelle Obama, the BFFs who took CVS by storm, are back – this time at Costco.

Ahead of Obama’s Thursday appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, DeGeneres set up an impromptu book signing for the first lady’s new memoir, Becoming, at the big-box store to get everyone hyped.

In a sneak peak shared on Instagram, DeGeneres plays the keyboard to distract Obama from her signing duties, and she brings up the elephant in the room: Why Oprah was mentioned in the book more times than the comedian and talk show host was.

Ellen tweets topless photo of Michael B. Jordan to Naomi Osaka, things escalate

TwitterFacebook

If you give Ellen a piece of information, you’d better believe she will remember it.

The perfect example of this occurred recently on U.S. Open champion Naomi Osaka’s 21st birthday.

To mark the occasion, Ellen took to Twitter to give the following “present” to Osaka.

Happy birthday, @Naomi_Osaka_. I got you a present@michaelb4jordan pic.twitter.com/RVlX6Tmt5h

— Ellen DeGeneres (@TheEllenShow) October 16, 2018

Okay, so some context to that tweet. After she won the U.S. Open, Osaka made an appearance on The Ellen Show. She was asked about her celebrity crush, and she told Ellen “he was in Black Panther, but he was the villain.” Read more…

Ellen’s ’96 ‘Taste This’ album is the only thing that can make me laugh in Trump’s America

None of what the experts call self-care ever makes me feel better: not the gym, not leafy greens, not long naps.
Who came up with these options, and why are they are all so boring? As an unlicensed self-care professional, I’ll tell you what’s helping…

Donald Glover opens up about the touching full-circle ‘Star Wars’ moment he shared with his son

TwitterFacebook

Solo: A Star Wars Story is about to hit theaters, and its stars — Donald Glover (Lando Calrissian) and Alden Ehrenreich (Han Solo) — have been making the rounds promoting the film.

The two stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show in an episode that aired May 21 to share a bit about the audition process, meeting with their character’s predecessors, and how full-circle this moment really is for them.

In addition to sharing how many times each had to audition (7 for Glover, 6 for Ehrenreich), Glover opened up about how his first toy as a child was the Calrissian action figure — and how now his son plays with the action figure of Glover and understands that it’s his dad.  Read more…

Kim Kardashian and Ellen DeGeneres try to figure out if Kanye West is happy or not

TwitterFacebook

“What do you do when no one is looking,” Ellen DeGeneres once asked Kanye West.

His answer? “Smile.”

The rapper and his smile aren’t the closest of friends whenever a camera is around. If you do a quick Google search, you’ll find there are far more photos out there of him making a stoic face than smiling — so much so that DeGeneres decided to make a game of it all.

Kim Kardashian stopped by the show and obliged in a good-humored dig at her husband’s resting camera face in a game DeGeneres dubbed “Is Kanye Happy or Not Happy?” Read more…

Stormy Daniels appears in not one but TWO Seth Rogen movies

TwitterFacebook

The adult film actress Stormy Daniels, who may or may not have had an affair with the sitting U.S. president, has appeared in two Seth Rogen movies, Rogen said on Ellen. And she shared a little information about her affair that would take the public’s attention 10 years later.

Rogen shared a story about how Daniels appeared in both Knocked Up and 40-Year-Old Virgin. During filming, Daniels said that she had an affair with Trump. Rogen said at the time it seemed pretty innocuous and didn’t come as a surprise — because in the far more innocent time of 2007,  who knew he’d eventually be president?  Read more…
