Let me just say that I love the idea of a folding phone/tablet device. I was a Courier fanboy when Microsoft floated that intriguing but abortive concept device, and I’m all for unique form factors and things that bend. But Samsung’s first real shot at a folding device is inexplicable and probably dead on arrival. I’d like to congratulate the company for trying something new, but this one needed a little more time in the oven.

DJI reminded everyone once again why it’s the best drone maker in the world.
On Tuesday, DJI unveiled its newest foldable drone, the Mavic Air, and it might the company’s most impressive quadcopter yet.
At about the height of your average smartphone, the Mavic Air is half the size of 2016’s Mavic Pro. It’s also 41 percent lighter than the Pro, too, making it the company’s smallest drone ever.
Available in three colors — black, white, and glossy red — the new Mavic Air is available for pre-order immediately and ships on Jan. 28. Read more…
