It’s not easy being green — especially at CES, the world’s largest consumer electronics convention. Marijuana tech companies are grumbling about how difficult it is to participate in CES 2019 because organizers will not allow them to exhibit.

“We’re not allowed on the showroom floor, and it’s apparently because [organizers] say they haven’t created a category for cannabis vaporizers yet,” says Jeff Brown, vice president of public policy and communications at PAX Labs, an electronic vaporizer company.  Read more…

So your parents want to get stoned. First of all, and let’s all say it together, hell yeah.

However, and this is the tricky part, it’s been a while since they’ve smoked marijuana — if they ever smoked at all — and the weed landscape has changed radically over the last few decades. After the recent midterm elections, there are now 32 U.S. states where marijuana is legal for adults, recreationally, medically, or both. Increased legalization naturally opens up a larger market and incentives for businesses to grow finer, more competitive cannabis products. For better or worse, that often means marijuana strains with higher contents of THC — the natural psychoactive chemical that binds to your brain and produces a high. Read more…
