James Corden’s Theranos parody is gleefully gross

TwitterFacebook

James Corden is on a parody binge at the moment. The other day it was Jordan Peele’s Us, and now — perhaps unsurprisingly — he’s going after the Theranos documentary.

In fairness, The Inventor: Out for Blood in Silicon Valley is ripe for parody — and Corden pretty much covers all bases in the sketch above: from Elizabeth Holmes’ unblinking stare to the fairly wild idea at the centre of it all (which, in Corden’s case at least, boils down to poo in a box).

Ew. Read more…

James Corden’s ‘Us’ parody is mildly scary, extremely silly

TwitterFacebook

James Corden loves a parody sketch almost as much as he loves a car-based singalong. He’s done it with IT, and A Star is Born, and now he’s taking on Jordan Peele’s latest horror movie Us. (Although it’s called We in the sketch above because, you know, copyright.)

The parody sees Corden and Reggie Watts wandering around The Late Late Show studio, becoming increasingly concerned that some strangers are trying to steal the show away from them.

The problem is, the imposters are — you guessed it — doppelgängers. Right down to the matching One Direction tattoos. Read more…

James Corden surprises people who ordered pizza with a mystery box, and the prizes are something else

TwitterFacebook

From the point of ordering a pizza to the pizza finally being delivered to your door, you are normally pretty desperate to eat said pizza.

But would you gamble away that cheesy heaven for the possibility of a mystery prize?

This is the choice James Corden presents to random strangers in the segment above.

Unsurprisingly, pretty much all of them choose the mystery option. And — mostly — they aren’t disappointed. Read more…

Milo Ventimiglia gives James Corden a lap dance and oh my

TwitterFacebook

Milo Ventimiglia is a man of many talents. One that might not have been immediately obvious, however, is his flair for dance.

Recently Ventimiglia was named Man of the Year by the Hasty Pudding Theatrical Society at Harvard University — the oldest theatrical society in the U.S.. Part of his induction into this society involved getting roasted, performing the Fresh Prince of Bel Air rap, and giving a lap dance.

Well, Ventimiglia gave James Corden a glimpse of what that lap dance might have looked like.

There are no words.  Read more…

Kate Beckinsale stars in a hilariously dramatic soap opera composed entirely of Bruno Mars lyrics

James Corden pranking David Beckham with a fake statue is brutally awkward

TwitterFacebook

Sometimes the best pranks are the simplest ones. But not always. Every now and then, it’s the most elaborate jokes — ones that include hidden cameras, fake statues and a whole host of actors, for instance — that really hit home.

Enter James Corden. After hearing that David Beckham hadn’t seen the finalised version of a statue of himself that LA Galaxy are planning to unveil at an upcoming ceremony, the Late Late Show host decided to step in.

“I thought it might be fun to switch out the real statue with one that we made a little less flattering,” says Corden in the clip above.

Cue nine minutes of wonderful, wonderful awkwardness. Read more…
