Ah, friends, when we last left our Jane Gloriana Villanueva, she had just walked into an emotional trap. She expected her boyfriend Rafael Solano — who is also the father of her accidentally artificially inseminated kid — to propose. Instead, SURPRISE, he brought her face-to-face with her back-from-the-dead husband Michael Cordero.

The cast of ‘Jane the Virgin’ was just as blown away by that twist as we all are

Jane the Virgin Twitter went WILD on Friday night. Spoilers ahead.

The show’s fourth season ended with a major reveal: Michael Cordero, a character that’s been dead since just before a time jump skipped the story ahead by three years back in Season 3.

So for Jane — who was married to Michael — and the people in her orbit, they’ve all lived on for the past four or five years in TV time believing this man is dead. Then he turned up in the final moments of Season 4.

We still don’t know what happened or how this believed-dead man is actually alive. Season 5 will presumably clear that up. For now, you’ll have to live with the incredible reaction on social media. Starting with a post from showrunner Jennie Urman offering a behind the scenes look at the cast learning that Michael actor Brett Dier was coming back. Read more…

It’s March Madness time for TV fans. Of course I don’t mean basketball; I mean the nail-biting agony of waiting for networks to renew your favorite shows. This is the fourth year in a row of that special hell for Jane the Virgin viewers, and the third for a dangerously small but fiercely dedicated Crazy Ex-Girlfriend fans.

And not that my personal opinion has any effect on these decisions, but if I lose either of these shows I will literally lose my shit.

A decade ago, the CW was where you went for guilty pleasures – your O.C.s and your Everwoods – and Jane the Virgin and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend are treated as that, in large part. But something happened in the past decade which was that CW – in addition to programming shows that were enjoyable, addictive, and unlike anything on other networks – made some really freaking good TV. Jane The Virgin’s Justin Baldoni has had his own experiences with sexual harassment in Hollywood, according to an interview with Glamour.

The allegations stem to when Baldoni was 21 years old, a time when he was “very new in the business.” 

He received a spa certificate as a gift from his girlfriend after he did his first show, and so he visited the day spa, Burke Williams, in West Hollywood.

“I remember there were hot tubs and steam rooms and all kinds of stuff, and it’s kind of fancier people, wealthier guys. I went and jumped in the hot tub and I saw a guy kind of look over,” Baldoni told the magazine. Read more…
