Kevin Spacey tweets bizarre video after sexual assault charge
Hot damn 2018, we didn’t think you could get any weirder. But oh man, were we ever wrong.
In what has to be one of the most bizarre PR moves of all time, disgraced actor Kevin Spacey released a three-minute YouTube video in which he appears to role play as Frank Underwood — his former part on House of Cards before he was unceremoniously removed from the production following numerous allegations of sexual misconduct — shortly after news broke that he was charged with felony sexual assault.
The charge, laid out in a Cape and Islands District Attorney press release, concerns an alleged sexual assault of a teenage boy at a Nantucket restaurant in July 2016. Spacey is scheduled to be arraigned on Jan. 7, 2019. Read more…

‘Family Guy’ Emmy campaign smugly takes credit for #MeToo movement
Ah, leave it to The Men to give themselves a pat on the back for “predicting” accused Hollywood predators like Kevin Spacey and Harvey Weinstein — who, let the record show, were actually outed by talented journalists (many of them women) and the survivors who found the courage to speak up against them (again, many of them women).
Only a show like Family Guy would feel justified in congratulating itself for a few passing jokes that acknowledged the widely known abuses of now-disgraced Hollywood men like Kevin Spacey and Harvey Weinstein. The show packaged its Emmy consideration mailers this year with a smug-looking Peter Griffin insisting, “We predicted Kevin Spacey and Harvey Weisntein. Open DVD to see who’s next.” Read more…

Netflix reported a loss of $39 million last quarter — and it looks like it can thank Kevin Spacey for the bill.
The company announced the Q4 loss on Monday, citing “unexpected” costs due to “unreleased content.” Chief Financial Officer David Wells gave another hint at the source of the revenue loss, saying it was, “related to the societal reset around sexual harassment.” No one named names, but an unnamed CNN source confirmed the cause was “axed Kevin Spacey projects.”
Following reports that Spacey had sexually harassed and assaulted employees on the set of House of Cards in November, the streaming service announced it was severing ties with the actor. Production on the sixth season of the show was temporarily suspended, resuming after Netflix announced the final season would continue without its leading star. Read more…
