Marvel just released the long-awaited trailer for its upcoming Captain Marvel movie, which introduces Brie Larson into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
And one particular detail in the trailer is getting a lot of attention.
The scene where Larson’s character, Carol Danvers (aka Captain Marvel), punches an innocent-looking old lady right in the face has got people scratching their heads.
Because Captain Marvel is one of the good guys, right?

Marvel’s having a 10th birthday bash, and you’re invited.
IMAX and Disney have announced that, in a celebration of the franchise’s 10th anniversary, all 20 Marvel Cinematic Universe movies are coming to IMAX theaters this Labor Day weekend.
Yup, all of them – including, for the first time ever in that jumbo-sized format, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, and Captain America: The First Avenger.
And the Marvel crew couldn’t be more excited, as explained in this promotional video explaining just why it’s so important for you to not just watch these movies, but to watch them in IMAX.

In an exclusive Entertainment Weekly first look at Sony’s upcoming Venom, we see the former Batman villain transform into the Spider-Man equivalent of Jekyll and Hyde. And if he’s being honest, Hardy knows that the repulsive, Xenomorph-on-crack appearance is part of what attracted him to the role.

The studio has reportedly set Cate Shortland, the Australian filmmaker known for dramas like Somersault, Lore, and Berlin Syndrome, to direct the standalone superhero adventure.

Los Angeles police have confirmed they’re investigating a missing Iron Man suit, which disappeared from a prop warehouse in LA’s Pacoima neighborhood, reports the LA Times.
The suit, worn by Robert Downey Jr. in Marvel’s original 2008 film Iron Man, was reported missing on Tuesday, according to the Times, by unnamed employees who “just happened to check” on it. LAPD’s Foothill Division is investigating.
