Matthew McConaughey stars as the psychedelic surfer type in Harmony Korine’s newest project The Beach Bum—alongside Zac Efron, Snoop Dogg, Isla Fisher, Martin Lawrence, and (fittingly) Jimmy Buffett.
This will be Korine’s first feature-length film since his 2012 project Spring Breakers, which received mixed reviews.
When discussing The Beach Bum with french publication Télérama late last year, Korine detailed plans to release the movie in theaters doubling as weed-laced hot boxes (i.e. pump showings full of marijuana smoke to get audience members really into the movie.) Matthew McConaughey teamed up with the bourbon distillery Wild Turkey in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, on Monday to pass out frozen turkeys for Thanksgiving.
A group of 250 volunteers along with McConaughey were able to pass out 4,500 frozen turkeys to local families in the area, which were provided by Butterball.
Wild Turkey is passing out turkeys. Get it?
