Stephen Colbert calls the Mueller report conclusion ‘worse than the finale of ‘Lost”

TwitterFacebook

It was a lengthy, almost two-year wait for the Mueller report to be delivered, and Stephen Colbert thought it was, well, anticlimactic.

In a monologue opening The Late Show on Monday, Colbert said the report’s findings, which found that there was no proof of collusion between Trump’s campaign and Russia, was “worse than the finale of Lost.”

“What about the smoke monster, was it real or not? And if not, why have so many members of Trump’s campaign plead guilty to lying about meeting with the smoke monster?” Colbert quipped.

“Why couldn’t this have been like the ending of Seinfeld? Still disappointing, but at least they’re all in jail.” Read more…

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wants us to focus on the ‘deeper’ problems behind Trump’s election

TwitterFacebook

For many Americans, it’s easier to believe that Russia — not American voters — installed Trump as president.

On Sunday, Attorney General Barr released his summary of Mueller’s report, writing that Mueller had found insufficient evidence to prove that Trump conspired with the Russians during the 2016 election. For folks who had hoped that the Mueller report would result in Trump’s impeachment, it was heartbreaking.

For Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, however, the Mueller report was more than that. It was a wake-up call.

This fake Mueller report is the ultimate troll

TwitterFacebook

We got got.

Special counsel Robert Mueller delivered his report to the Attorney General on Friday afternoon. The investigation looks into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, but despite calls for transparency from politicians, Americans, and emboldened mothers on social media, the report hasn’t been released to the public yet.

Another report has been making the rounds, even if it’s not the one Mueller delivered to William Barr.

Meme asks what if Robert Mueller is just procrastinating?

TwitterFacebook

As we all anxiously await the Mueller report, a curious theory has emerged: What if Robert Mueller, special counsel of the Russia investigation and former director of the FBI, is just procrastinating?

On a Friday afternoon — a great time to put off work — a lot of people wrote tweets about what Mueller might be up to in his procrastination hole. Sure, they might have done these tweets instead of doing their jobs, but that only makes the tweets better and more appropriate. (I say this because I participated.)

I’ve been in Robert Mueller’s position before and let me tell you, he has not written shit

Roger Stone’s Instagram account posts bizarre meme hours after indictment

TwitterFacebook

Instagramming after you’ve been arrested is generally a bad idea, but when has that ever stopped Roger Stone?

The longtime Trump associate and dog threatener was indicted for witness tampering, making false statements, and obstruction Friday morning in connection with Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation. Less than four hours after his arrest, someone on Stone’s staff posted this image, complete with Who Framed Roger Rabbit? reference, to his personal Instagram:

Mueller reportedly wants to question Trump about his Tweets

TwitterFacebook

It’s just too good.

The New York Times reported on Thursday that special counsel Robert S. Mueller III is putting President Trump’s tweets under the microscope. He may use the Tweets to help determine whether President Trump attempted to obstruct justice in the Russian election tampering investigation.

Mueller reportedly wants to question Trump about the intention of certain Tweets, particularly those about James Comey and Jeff Sessions. Mr. Trump, what was your intention when you called Sessions “weak” and Comey a “liar”?

As it has turned out, James Comey lied and leaked and totally protected Hillary Clinton. He was the best thing that ever happened to her!

Here’s the Paul Manafort mugshot we’ve all been waiting for

TwitterFacebook

The Mueller Investigation is getting real, y’all, and to prove it, here’s the mugshot of former Trump campaign chairman, Paul Manafort.

Here it is — Paul Manafort’s mugshot pic.twitter.com/AEe7JTvqXU

— Rachel Weiner (@rachelweinerwp) July 12, 2018

The occasion of the mugshot was that Manafort was moved to a jail in Alexandria, Virginia thanks to his attorneys in a move that can only be described as a “clusterfuck.”

Manafort was previously being held at a rural Virginia jail about two hours from Washington, D.Cwhere he bragged about a “VIP” lifestyle, which included not having to wear a prison jumpsuit, getting to use his laptop. Manafort also had a private bathroom, unlike other inmates. His previous mugshot was not releasedRead more…

Signs you’re in a codependent relationship with the Mueller investigation

TwitterFacebook

A healthy relationship is marked by good boundaries and an attachment to a real person you’ve actually met.

Over the past two years, far too many people have developed a codependent relationship with Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Their fixation is eminently understandable. Like him or not, that sullen piece of limestone rock is the only person capable of saving us from President Trump/nuclear holocaust.

What started for many of us as a light crush has since matured into an unhealthy fixation, with no relief in sight — since Trump isn’t about to go to jail anytime soon. It’s time we all examined ourselves for symptoms of Mueller addiction. Read more…
