Net neutrality gets a second wind. The problem? Donald Trump.

The latest battle between arch-enemies Nancy Pelosi and Donald Trump could be the internet.

On Wednesday, Democratic legislators introduced a new bill in both the House and the Senate that would reinstate net neutrality. It’s called the “Save the Internet Act of 2019.” And, as articulated in the bill’s just three pages, it would overturn the Trump FCC’s rules that overturned the Obama-era FCC’s net neutrality protections. And, it would task the FCC with protecting net neutrality across the country. 

Last Congress, we voted to restore #NetNeutrality in the Senate.

Now, House and Senate Democrats are introducing a bill to #SaveTheInternet.

This may have been Trump’s big night, but let’s not forget the State of the Union was delivered in Nancy’s House. 

President Donald Trump finally gave his 2019 State of the Union address on Tuesday evening, after his initial speech was delayed during the government shut down. And while Trump had the mic, all eyes were on Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who was seated behind him and delivered a few key reactions to his rhetoric.

The standout moment, however, came when Pelosi appeared to literally “clap back” at Trump from behind the podium — and it’s made for an incredibly powerful image.

We’re mired in the longest federal government shutdown in history, and President Donald Trump is feuding with Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi over the State of the Union Speech. 

Fortunately, Trevor Noah has that knack for laying out the absurd in a way that makes us laugh despite the urge to cry. In the above clip, Noah walks us through Wednesday’s drama between Pelosi and Trump. There’s a lot to laugh at — from the Game of Thrones reference to the idea that Pelosi is the only one able to instill fear in Trump — but the best part is Noah’s analysis of how Trump’s comments sound like he made them using his  phone’s predictive text. Stephen King creates a Twitter play to brutally mock Donald Trump

There’s no way you’d be able to fit a Stephen King novel into a single tweet, but it turns out you can squeeze in a play. A very short one, at least.

On Wednesday night, the horror master continued his ongoing commentary on the government shutdown by crafting some imagined dialogue between Donald Trump (“Baby Don”) and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (“Mommy Nancy”).

As you can probably guess, Baby Don doesn’t come out too well.

Baby Don said, “I want to talk and pretend I’m a grownup!”
Mommy Nancy said, “No, Baby Don, you have been bad. You did a tantrum!”
Baby Don said, “WAAAH! I’ll get you, mean old Mommy Nancy!”
Said Mommy Nancy, “Well…you can try.”

Nancy Pelosi was just re-elected as Speaker of the House today — and nobody’s celebrating harder than her extremely metal granddaughter.

Bella Kaufman, one of Pelosi’s eight grandchildren, was spotted banging her head and generally rejoicing multiple times over Pelosi’s election.
