News anchor tries to say ‘Okurrr’ like Cardi Bs and fails hilariously

First rule of the Cardi B club: be able to roll your r’s. 

In a news segment about Cardi B’s plans to trademark her infamous “Okurrr” tagline, anchors on NBC 10 WJAR attempted to say the word themselves. Mark Searles and Emily Volz did it without a hitch. Next, they convinced their co-anchor, Dan Jaehnig, to try. 

Unlike his peers, he simply couldn’t do it. Instead, he let out a frightening caw. “I sound like a parakeet,” he laughed while taking stabs at replicating Cardi’s high-pitched call.

Live TV news anchor handles fire alarm in the most British way possible

When you’re working in the hectic world of live news, dealing with unexpected circumstances is all part of the job.

The latest live news incident came courtesy of ITV, when anchor Tom Bradby was interrupted mid-broadcast by a fire alarm on Wednesday evening.

Luckily he handled it like a total pro.

The most gloriously British response to a fire alarm ever? Twitter certainly seemed to think so.

That’s a very British way of announcing a fire alarm ITV News. ‘Right, well I’m awfully sorry, these things happen and we have to evacuate’ Just go Tom we don’t want you catching fire politely letting the public down on missing the news
