Don’t worry, adult video aficionados. Even though Starbucks will soon begin filtering porn for customers using the chain’s in-store WiFi network, Pornhub has a workaround so you can still get your kicks while you sip your grande mocha.
Sure, the desire to watch pornography in such a public venue is a bit unnerving, but who are we to judge. Pornhub, who has as much to lose as anyone in this scenario, on Thursday announced its brand new “Safe For Work” category — specifically designed to help those of you who are just itching to surf to the site while visiting a public coffee shop.
“While we were aware some people’s preference in a sexual partner mimics that of their coffee, we were unaware that people were acting on such impulses when getting their caffeine fix,” said Corey Price, VP, Pornhub, in a statement. “To comply with Starbucks’ new policy, we’ve created an option that allow fans to still enjoy great content to which they are accustomed, but that is appropriate for consumption in public places.” Read more…

Chaos at Tumblr.
After users reported the Tumblr iOS app disappeared from Apple’s App Store over the weekend, the microblogging platform initially stated nothing more than they were “working to resolve the issue.” Days later, with the iPhone app still MIA, Tumblr has published a longer statement identifying the issue: child pornography on the platform.
In a statement on the announcement page of its help center, Tumblr writes:
“We’re committed to helping build a safe online environment for all users, and we have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to media featuring child sexual exploitation and abuse. As this is an industry-wide problem, we work collaboratively with our industry peers and partners like NCMEC (National Center for Missing & Exploited Children) to actively monitor content uploaded to the platform. Every image uploaded to Tumblr is scanned against an industry database of known child sexual abuse material, and images that are detected never reach the platform. A routine audit discovered content on our platform that had not yet been included in the industry database. Read more…

When deepfakes burst onto the scene last year, it didn’t take long for the new image-manipulation technology to go from harmless online fun to troubling tool for online harassment. However, one company is looking to shift the conversation back, strangely enough, with porn.
One of the first uses of deepfakes was the swapping the faces of porn actors and actresses with those of celebrities, a big part of what led to deepfake bans across the web. However, the adult film company Naughty America is looking to flip the telescope on that kind of scenario and make it 100 percent consensual.
Naughty America’s new service lets customers insert images of themselves into scenes, transport porn stars to a whole new setting by changing the background, and, in one example, blend together the facial features of two different actors. While most of the world spent part of their Sunday watching the tilt between France and Croatia, Pornhub was watching their website traffic drop.
The site has now released data surrounding the World Cup and, surprise, traffic dropped the most in the finalist countries with a pretty sizable dip across the rest of the soccer-crazed world. Where there’s innovation, there’s masturbation — at least in one dark corner of the internet, where nearly 80,000 people have gathered to share fabricated videos of celebrity women having sex and Nicolas Cage uncovering the Ark of the Covenant.
These are “deepfakes,” a new kind of video featuring realistic face-swaps. In short, a computer program finds common ground between two faces and stitches one over the other. If the source footage is good enough, the transformation is nearly seamless.
The technology is relatively easy to use, which has created an enthusiast community on Reddit, where users compare notes and swap their latest work: “Emma Watson sex tape demo ;-),” “Lela Star x Kim Kardashian,” and “Giving Putin the Trump face” among them. Read more…
