James Corden pranking David Beckham with a fake statue is brutally awkward

TwitterFacebook

Sometimes the best pranks are the simplest ones. But not always. Every now and then, it’s the most elaborate jokes — ones that include hidden cameras, fake statues and a whole host of actors, for instance — that really hit home.

Enter James Corden. After hearing that David Beckham hadn’t seen the finalised version of a statue of himself that LA Galaxy are planning to unveil at an upcoming ceremony, the Late Late Show host decided to step in.

“I thought it might be fun to switch out the real statue with one that we made a little less flattering,” says Corden in the clip above.

Cue nine minutes of wonderful, wonderful awkwardness. Read more…

Guy who posts billboards gets pranked with a billboard of his own face

TwitterFacebook

This guy really had to *face* himself at work.

Let’s say you post billboards for a living, and your friends regularly prank you by getting you to put up a massive billboard of yourself. This is a true story: Redditor u/Jaydeem89 posted his friend’s reaction to r/funny and r/discgolf. Apparently the friend’s boss is an avid disc golfer and was in on the joke.

The billboard features a less-than-flattering selfie of the friend — who was apparently trying to check his eye color — with the question, “Why sleep when there is disc golf?”  Read more…

This hilarious invisibility prank is giving kids an existential crisis

TwitterFacebook

Move over, #WhatTheFluff. There’s a new challenge sweeping the internet.

Being invisible sounds like an immensely useful superpower — if you could hide in plain sight, you could get away with almost anything. Everyone seems to love the idea of it, until they’re actually invisible.

Kind of.

People are convincing their little siblings that they’re invisible, with the help of a blanket, some magic words, and a photo.

So we saw this challenge on twitter how this family told there brother he disappeared and we wanted to try it out on my little cousin,he got so scared 😂😂😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/jZMhun6Cbn

These guys snuck a fake poster of themselves into McDonald’s to make an important point

“I noticed there was a blank wall at McDonald’s so I decided to make this fake poster of me and my friend,” wrote Maravilla. “It’s now been 51 days since I hung it up.”

Dave Grohl trolls a whole stadium of fans with fake fall

TwitterFacebook

Oh, Dave Grohl, you lovable scamp!

We already know Grohl loves to have plenty of fun at shows and also loves to play practical jokes, so it’s no surprise that he pranked an entire stadium full of rabid Foo Fighters fans. But this time he also managed to make fun of himself.

It was almost three years ago that — while performing in Gothenburg, Sweden — Grohl fell off the stage and broke his leg. Well, the band returned to Gothenburg on Tuesday night. At the start of the show, a stuntman dressed as Grohl ran out on stage and took what seemed to be a big, accidental tumble off the side of the stage to the shock of the thousands of fans in attendance. Teen masterfully pranks live TV report on illegal marijuana grow

TwitterFacebook

Local news reporters are pros at dealing with the unexpected while on duty. And, as displayed in this clip, sometimes they’re too good.

KMTV journalist Cameron Tucker was reporting on an illegal cannabis grow in a quiet neighborhood in Kent, UK, when a brilliant teen decided to brilliant troll the live news report.

Watch the back of the shot. A young man emerges from an alley holding a large green plant. He spots the camera, acts surprised, and runs off down the road. Tucker didn’t even flinch.

Of course, the plant does not appear to be cannabis. The kid was clearly pulling a prank on Tucker — masterfully, if we do say. Read more…
