Denver airport leans into conspiracy theories with elaborate gargoyle prank

TwitterFacebook

The Denver International Airport is elaborately trolling travelers once again — this time with an animated gargoyle statue.

Over the years, the airport, which many people know of because of all the wild conspiracy theories surrounding it, has done a truly impressive job of embracing the chaos.

For its latest prank, the airport installed a talking gargoyle statue right in the middle of “Illuminati Headquarters” to throw shade, tell jokes, and confuse the hell out of travelers.

According to the airport, the statue is there to “clear the air on all the conspiracies at DEN,” and travelers seem to love it. Read more…

This daughter’s prank involving Brussels sprouts will make you love pranks again

TwitterFacebook

Christmas pranks are notoriously, unabashedly corny. Every once in a while, however, a Christmas prank comes along that’s so good it makes you forget that nearly all pranks are bad.

I’m a particular fan of Twitter user Judy Brown’s Christmas prank, which involves two of the most disgusting foods on earth: Ferrero Rocher chocolates (sorry) and Brussels sprouts (which are only good when roasted or fried).

Two years ago, as part of a Christmas prank, Brown switched out a Ferrero Rocher chocolate, a favorite of her father’s, for a Brussels sprout.

Some of you out there may recall that in 2016 I played an excellent Christmas prank on my long-suffering Dad. It worked a treatpic.twitter.com/srfaVgLF2J

Fed-up moms respond to ‘Can I cook a turkey in the microwave?’

TwitterFacebook

The “How do you microwave a turkey?” prank is breaking our mothers’ hearts.

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, young people are pranking their poor mothers by asking them for advice on one of the greatest sins against the holiday season: microwaved turkey.

Microwaving a turkey, by the way, is totally possible — Mashable tested it, and made a surprisingly good Thanksgiving dinner a few years ago. But to many mothers, who wield family recipes like a sword, microwaving a turkey is an abomination to tradition.

Which is why people are poking fun at their moms by asking.  Read more…

Diabolical people are putting fake power outlet stickers on walls

TwitterFacebook

Searching for an open power outlet in an airport is often a frustrating experience.

It’s certainly not helped by what seems to be a raft of pranksters who are putting stickers of fake power outlets onto walls, bins, and any highly visible surface.

This diabolical feat has been captured by people on Twitter, who’ve brandished an avowed aim to make enemies of the people who are behind these stickers from hell.

Whoever put up this fake sticker of an open outlet at the airport, you are now my enemy for lifepic.twitter.com/TYEJKmY6Zg

New Slack add-on will surely ruin your coworkers’ day

TwitterFacebook

Slack is a powerful tool, and with great power comes the great responsibility…to screw with your coworkers.

A new Slack add-on from programmer Will Leinweber does just that, in pretty much the most diabolical way possible. Essentially, whenever anyone else starts typing it shows them a message that you, too, happen to be typing. And when they stop? That message goes away.

You see the problem — or, rather, the opportunity.

“I made a VGP (very good program) that makes it so it looks like I’m typing on Slack whenever anyone else is typing, and stops when they stop,” he tweeted out along with a video of the program in action. “Everyone loves it so far and doesn’t find it annoying at all!” Read more…
