Woman hilariously hand models her cousin’s engagement ring in viral proposal photo

A real friend is one who will drop everything to hand model your engagement ring when a surprise proposal catches you without a proper manicure.

That’s the situation one Australian woman found herself in when she witnessed her cousin’s boyfriend propose and had to think fast so they could still get the perfect post-proposal shot.

The search is on to find the couple captured in stunning Yosemite proposal photo

TwitterFacebook

Marriage proposals are consistently some of life’s most picturesque moments.

On a recent trip to Yosemite National Park in California, professional photographer Matthew Dippel had the pleasure of accidentally witnessing a proposal between two strangers from afar. Naturally, he whipped out his camera and captured a visually spectacular, wildly romantic shot.

In hopes of finding the two people in the photograph, Dippel turned to Twitter for help, sharing the image and a bit of context to aid in the search.

Twitter help, idk who these two are but I hope this finds them. I took this at Taft Point at Yosemite National Park, on October 6th, 2018pic.twitter.com/Rdzy0QqFbY

Adorable engaged couple from the Emmys talk to Jimmy Kimmel from bed

TwitterFacebook

It was the heart-wrenching highlight of a pretty hum-drum Emmys — a live proposal.

When Glenn Weiss landed the Emmy in Directing a Variety Special at the Oscars this year, he surprised the audience — and particularly his girlfriend Jan Friedlander Svendsen — by popping the question during his acceptance speech. Guys, she said yes.

So Kimmel tracked the newly engaged pair down for a chat. Sitting in bed, Champagne in hand, they look a tiny bit awkward, but adorably psyched.

Weiss, being the guy who gets the band to play off Oscars winners whose acceptance speeches run too long, said he was pretty worried it was going to happen during his proposal. Luckily, it didn’t. Read more…

Emmy winner proposes to his girlfriend on stage, and it was adorable

TwitterFacebook

Excuse me, hold up, there was a LIVE PROPOSAL during this year’s Emmy Awards.

Glenn Weiss landed the Emmy in Directing a Variety Special at the Oscars this year. He gave a heartfelt acceptance speech, explaining that the award was “bittersweet” because his mother had passed away two weeks ago.

Then, he thanked his girlfriend for her support, but clarified, “The reason I don’t like calling you my girlfriend is because I want you to be my wife.”

Cue the tears!!

When she got to the stage, he pulled out his late mother’s ring — clarifying to his siblings that his father gave him dibs on it — and got on one knee.  Read more…

Firefighter stages elaborate proposal in fire station with the help of his crew

TwitterFacebook

Sometimes all you need is a little help from your friends.

Firefighter Ashton Hanway who works at Fayetteville fire station in North Carolina, U.S. enlisted the help of his crew to stage a rather elaborate proposal for his girlfriend Lauren Wood.

In a video, which has been viewed almost 12K times, Hanway and Wood stand atop a fire engine, which is parked beside another engine inside the station. His colleagues then, rather helpfully, drive the latter vehicle out of the way to reveal a surprise.

Under the vehicle, the fireman’s hose had been twisted into a message for Wood. Which reads—yep you guessed it—”Will you marry me?” Read more…

Giant inflatable T-rex pops the question during London marathon

TwitterFacebook

Proposals come in all shapes and sizes.

Sometimes it happens during a romantic stroll through the countryside. Other times it might be in a more public setting, like a restaurant or a football game. Maybe on holiday.

Or, alternatively, it might take place during the London marathon while one half of the relationship is dressed as a giant inflatable T-rex.
