It’s Game 3 of the World Series tonight, but the Boston Red Sox have already beat the Los Angeles Dodgers for the championship — that is, if you trust Google to give you the right answer.

Google Search today has been incorrectly displaying the Boston Red Sox as the winners of the 2018 World Series in a featured snippet, or the short answers you see at the top of Google search results in response to certain queries.

The Boston Red Sox are in fact currently leading the series 2-0 heading into the third game tonight. But even if the Red Sox were to win the upcoming game, the team would still be one game away from winning the championship. Shame on you, Google, for spreading lies about the championship! Snapchat will soon let you shop for products on Amazon with its camera

Instead of using your smartphone camera to take puppy-faced selfies on Snapchat, you’ll soon be able to use it to shop online. Or do both.

Snapchat announced this week it’s partnering with Amazon to offer users a new image-based shopping feature. The company says it plans to start testing the feature today, and will be rolling it out slowly to all users.

For those with the new product search feature, just snap a photo of something you want to buy — like a bottle of makeup or running shoes — and on the Snapchat home screen, different options to buy the product or something similar will appear in a pop-up menu from Amazon’s online store. Read more…
