Certified American sweetheart Zendaya got her wisdom teeth out, and now all the teens are responding with their wisdom teeth selfies in solidarity.
After deliberating on posting a video after surgery — noting that she looked like “a hot ass mess” — Zendaya blessed us all with a photo on Twitter. Despite the gauze and ice packs wrapped around her head, she still looks pretty freaking good.

I got so up close and personal with a fake rock wall at Refinery29’s experiential pop-up, 29Rooms, that fuzzy little pieces of moss kept falling off of my dress long after my visit. The appearance of each new green fuzz reminded me of the cool mist and warm light I’d felt as they’d stuck to my body in the first place — while I was blindfolded and wearing headphones.
My encounter with the wet moss was one of a handful of “phone-free” experiences at the event, which is in its fourth year. We’ve come to a point when those who visit exhibits built for Instagram — they’re a dime a dozen these days — are demanding something more. Read more…

Apple is fixing a bug in its smart front camera system that made for unnaturally filtered-looking selfies. Apple confirmed to The Verge that the phenomenon some iPhone users dubbed “Beautygate” was indeed a thing, and not the imagination of paranoid selfie-takers.

Beautygate was not the work of a filter. Apparently, the dynamic camera system was using a less detailed base frame for its composite images. That loss of detail is what gave the appearance of a smoothing filter. Read more…
