The Rock thinks snowflake culture is ‘putting us backwards’

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson really doesn’t like the “snowflake generation.”

That much is clear from an interview the actor — who’s one of the highest-paid in world — did with British tabloid The Daily Star.

The Rock said that the snowflakes are taking society in a direction that doesn’t align with the ideals of freedom that people have fought for in the past decades with their PC sentiments.

“So many good people fought for freedom and equality, but this generation are looking for a reason to be offended,” the 46-year-old told The Daily Star. “If you are not agreeing with them then they are offended, and that is not what so many great men and women fought for.” Read more…

The Rock’s call to vote is … really something

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson posted a reminder to vote and it really is something else.

In his call to vote posted on Instagram on Monday, The Rock holds a poorly Photoshopped Kevin Hart in his massive, beefy arms. The Rock, playing the part of the hot paternal savior, appears to be flexing every muscle in his brawny body while cradling the tiny, incredibly stressed looking Hart.

Lana Condor’s dorky tweet about working out gets A+ reply from The Rock

We’re all still crushing hard on Lana Condor and Noah Centineo from To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before.

And the fact Condor is dropping vintage The Office gifs and interacting with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson on Twitter certainly isn’t helping those feelings go away.

Condor tweeted out that she needed workout motivation to get on the same fitness level as The Rock. She wrote that her current fitness level is that of Michael Scott doing parkour on The Office.

Oh nothing, just some perfectly adorable Instagrams of The Rock meeting sea creatures

Dwayne Johnson may get 90% of his kicks from smashing bad guys in action movies, but he gets the other 10% from the aquarium.

The photos he uploaded to Instagram on Sunday — following a visit to Georgia Aquarium with his family — provide sweet proof of this.

“The second largest aquarium in the world and the only institution outside of Asia that houses Whale Sharks,” Johnson wrote gleefully on Instagram. “More than 100,000 animals and sea creatures here that I’m in constant awe of. Specifically, this Whale Shark that I’m contemplating jumping in the tank and jumping on its back. Read more…

The Rock gifted his stunt double a new truck and it’s so wholesome

The Rock is too pure for this world.

Dwayne Johnson — or as he called himself in an Instagram post on Monday, Dwanta Claus — gave his stunt double a new truck when he returned after suffering an injury on set. Tanoai Reed, who’s also Jonhson’s cousin, thought he was about to shoot a behind the scenes clip when he was surprised with the truck.

“The truth is, he’s been an incredible partner and brother to me,” Johnson said in the clip. “I wanna say I love you, I thank you, and enjoy your new truck.”

Reed was pretty hyped about the gift.  Read more…

The Rock says he doesn’t have time to run for president in 2020

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been pretty clear about his interest in running for president in 2020 — but apparently, he’s taking it all back.

After months of speculation, the actor told Vanity Fair on Tuesday that a bid for the White House in the next presidential election will not be happening.

“Unfortunately I don’t see it happening in 2020. It’s a position that requires years of hard work and experience to learn the skills. There’s a lot of ground to cover, and due to my schedule, it’s not possible in 2020,” Johnson told Vanity Fair during the premiere of his latest film, Skyscraper. Read more…
