Kanye West called out on Twitter for being on his phone during Broadway performance

TwitterFacebook

Being on your phone during a stage production is considered pretty rude, especially if it’s opening night, and even if you’re Kanye West.

The artist was called out on Twitter by one of the stars of Cher-inspired musical The Cher Show, Jarrod Spector, for spending time on his phone during Monday’s opening night performance.

West was attending the show with his wife, Kim Kardashian West, a couple that weren’t ever going to blend in with the crowd — or the cast.

“If you look up from your cell phone you’ll see we’re doing a show up here,” tweeted Spector, who plays Sonny Bono, while the performance was underway. Read more…

TwitterFacebook

We’ve heard all the fuss about Cursed Child, but before the Tony Award-winning play even built an audience, Puffs was growing a loyal following with the sweet story of Harry Potter’s years at Hogwarts, all told from the perspective of oft-forgotten Hufflepuff students.

After making it to Broadway and running successfully for more than two years, Puffs is now available for digital purchase so you can experience those eventful years for yourself.

Written by Matt Cox and directed by Kristin McCarthy Parker, Puffs is less Cursed Child and more A Very Potter Musical, as far as the Potter theater genre is concerned. Uber employees ‘really enjoyed’ London play about Travis Kalanick

TwitterFacebook

The Uber UK office treated 50 employees to a night of London theater Wednesday — but it wasn’t just any show. No, it was a satirical take on the rise and fall of a big-time CEO busy disrupting the world with his ride-hailing app and endless scandals.

Sound familiar?

The Vault Festival’s play Brilliant Jerks opened Wednesday evening. Uber snagged 50 seats to the show, which focus on the character of Tyler Janowski, an ex-CEO in the ride-hailing world. It’s not explicitly former Uber CEO Travis Kalanick, but yes it is.
