Guy scams his way into a free Outback steak by pretending his Valentine stood him up

A lonely guy pretended to get stood up on a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner at Outback, wasted hours of a well-meaning but clueless server’s night, and went home with a free meal. Outback even offered him another free meal — provided he bring a real date. 

27-year-old Stephen Bosner spent Feb. 14 on a mission: To bring home a free steak. He made a reservation for two at America’s favorite Australian-ish fast casual steakhouse, donned a suit jacket, and packed some tissue paper into plastic bag as a makeshift “gift.” He walked in, dateless, and told the host that the 10-minute wait was fine because

Nothing screams “romance” more than Kenny G trapped in a room full of glass vases. 

Kim Kardashian West posted a video showing how Kanye went all out for her Valentine’s Day present — surprising her with a room in their posh California mansion decorated with roses. Best of all he also brought in jazz love song icon Kenny G for a solo performance. 

Kenny G — who is best known for his smarmy ’90s hits, crashing Katy Perry’s house party, and being the “sad sax” guy — absolutely kills it. But the vibe is arguably less romantic than it is unsettling. Kenny stands alone, in the middle of a white room with no furniture, no decorations — nothing but roses for days.    Read more…

When it comes to reality dating shows, I’m an old-fashioned girl. Give me a Honeymoon Suite, a few dozen helicopters, geysers of champagne, and as many near fist fights as you can fit into an hour time slot — that’s just romance! 

This Valentine’s Day, however, Netflix’s first stab at the dating game, titled Dating Around, attempts to sell all of us on a new approach to the tried-and-true format, by replacing the typical Bachelor-esque rotation of suitors and lavish date cards with an intimate look at one-on-one meet ups in New York City. Netflix’s mission to take “an honest and compelling look at the real world of dating” is clear. And they achieve it… to a point. Read more…

Valentine’s day can get very lovey-dovey, bordering on sickeningly sweet, very quickly.  

Miley Cyrus’ Valentine’s greeting to hubby Liam Hemsworth this year is not that. It’s the exact opposite, in fact. Cyrus tweeted a pretty hilarious and definitely NSFW meme at Hemsworth. 

“@LiamHemsworth love you,” Cyrus wrote alongside a meme showing Cyrus herself on top of a car with her legs spread apart and the caption “When it’s valentine’s day and bae says hi.”
