The Rock’s call to vote is … really something

TwitterFacebook

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson posted a reminder to vote and it really is something else.

In his call to vote posted on Instagram on Monday, The Rock holds a poorly Photoshopped Kevin Hart in his massive, beefy arms. The Rock, playing the part of the hot paternal savior, appears to be flexing every muscle in his brawny body while cradling the tiny, incredibly stressed looking Hart.

This perfect song reminds us why it’s not such a scary time for men

TwitterFacebook

It’s a super scary time for men, according to our president. But one musician is out to prove just how ridiculous of an idea this is with her latest song.

On Monday, Lynzy Lab tweeted a video of herself singing an anthem for all of the scared men and boys. “It’s a really scary time for dudes right now. So I wrote a song about it. Go #vote friends!  #TheResistance #1Thing @ACLU @WC4SJ #letsmakesomenoise,” she wrote.

Don’t think you can make a difference? This Democrat won by a SINGLE vote.

TwitterFacebook

Democracy! Sometimes it feels so pointless. But before you decide to skip next election, consider this: a race in the Virginia House of Delegates was decided by a single vote

On Tuesday, the results of a recount by Virginia election officials was announced, and it turns out Democrat Shelly Simonds beat incumbent Republican David Yancey. The vote count? 11,608 to 11,607.

Yep. One single vote.

The dude who sat at home watching Netflix instead of voting probably feels pretty bad right about now.

This is the hypothetical scenario your middle school civics teacher dreamed about when they tried to tell you why it’s important to vote https://t.co/hk8RdhAtci

Australia’s overcome a hurdle on the long road to marriage equality — but the fight’s not over.

The country has just voted in favour of legalising same-sex marriage in a non-binding, non-compulsory nationwide postal survey.

Australia’s High Court handed down a decision in September to allow the federal government to implement the $122 million postal plebiscite asking the question: “Should the law be changed to allow same-sex couples to marry?”

The survey results have been one of the most anticipated decisions in Australia, and the Australian Bureau of Statistics announcing the final result on Wednesday, with the “Yes” vote winning by a mile. Read more…
