First, it was avocados. Then it was matcha. Now, the latest magical elixir to permeate the wellness industry is cannabidiol, also known as CBD.
Derived from industrial hemp, CBD is a nonpsychoactive compound (read: it will not make you high) that many people have found to yield all sorts of medicinal benefits like pain relief, easing anxiety, alleviating insomnia, and a whole lot more.
