Amazon launches free same-day shipping for Prime members

Amazon has a holiday gift for its Prime members. 

The online retailer has launched free one-day and same-day delivery for Prime members for the duration of the holiday season. 

That means Amazon Prime members can order Christmas gifts as early as Dec. 24, if orders are in before 9:30 a.m. local time, though some later orders may be fulfilled. Last year’s latest fulfilled holiday order was placed at 10:23 a.m. on Christmas Eve, the company claims. 

While Prime members always get unlimited free two-day shipping, free one-day and same-day shipping is only available between today and Dec. 24 at 11:59 p.m. For non-Prime customers, same-day delivery is $8.99 plus $0.99 per item.  Read more…
