Amazon Prime members can shop exclusive new products through July 31

For years, Black Friday had been the day for deals and shopping, basically serving as the unofficial kickoff to the Christmas season. Stores get packed with people looking to score the best deals on things like kitchen appliances, TVs, and clothes. And though Cyber Monday has emerged as a way to get around the madness of Black Friday, historically speaking the summer has been a deal dead zone.

All that changed in 2015 with the first Amazon Prime Day. It originally started as a way to celebrate the company’s 20th anniversary with a day of big sales. These sales served as exclusives to Prime members and as a means to bring in more Prime sign ups.
