Apple’s new iPhones will be announced on Sept. 12

New iPhones are coming in September, and now we know exactly when.

Apple sent out invitations to press on Thursday for a special event on Sept. 12 at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, CA. Like clockwork, the company will likely announce this year’s new iPhones at the event as well as new Apple Watches and new iPads.

The event will kick off at 10 a.m. PT

The invitation doesn’t provide much a hint for what to expect. There’s only an outline of what appears to be Apple Park as seen from above in copper (could it be hinting at a new copper-colored iPhone?) and “Gather round” below it. Read more…
