China’s Oppo has a new smartphone out, and it’s a pretty good wrap up to an extremely intense fall which saw about a dozen high-profile phone launches.
The Oppo R17 Pro (it’s called RX17 Pro in Europe) has a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with a very small notch on the front, a shiny, colorful design on the back, an under-the-display fingerprint sensor and triple rear cameras.
But it also has a few surprises under the hood.
The triple camera array is a bit different than what you’re used to. It consists of a 12-megapixel and a 20-megapixel sensor, coupled with a TOF 3D stereo camera which lets you take 3D photos, a trend that appears to be making a re-emergence this year. Read more…
