Giving Tuesday is a great opportunity for us to lend a hand to someone in need. And while the holidays are all about spreading Christmas cheer, for the over 500,000 homeless people in the US, it’s all about getting the essentials.
Though statistics show the number of people who are homeless is slowly decreasing, it is still a rampant problem. Over 83,000 people are chronically homeless, meaning they have a physical or intellectual disability and have been homeless for a year, or they have experienced shorter periods of homelessness more than four times in their life.
