Apple launches red iPhone 8 and 8 Plus

The rumors are confirmed: Apple just launched a red version of the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus.
The (PRODUCT)RED Special Edition iPhones are the same as regular iPhone 8 and 8 Plus in every other way besides the color.

“This special edition (PRODUCT)RED iPhone features a stunning red and black colour combination and also offers customers the opportunity to make an impact in fighting the spread of HIV and AIDS,” said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s vice president of product marketing.
According to Deborah Dugan, the CEO of (RED), Apple has donated more than $160 million to (RED)’s efforts to combat AIDS and HIV in the last 11 years. Read more…

Remember last year’s red iPhone 7 — the first iPhone to launch as a Product (RED), a special edition line of products that help fund and promote (RED)’s efforts to fight HIV and AIDS?
Apple may be giving the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus a similar treatment, according to a new Virgin Mobile Memo, obtained by MacRumors.
According to the memo, Virgin Mobile will be adding red variants of iPhone 8 and 8 Plus to its inventory on Monday, April 9, and a launch announcement from Apple (no event, just a press release) might happen on the same day.
