It’s crazy to think that not too long ago, we all had to settle for downloading music and movies through LimeWire, and then storing the files on measly 500 MB USB sticks or CDs. And then of course wondering if we would go to jail for it.
The process of downloading isn’t a cakewalk, either. We’d idly wait an unholy amount of time for that one Britney Spears song, and god forbid the phone rings and you have to start it all over again.
It was all painful, until it wasn’t. Today, we can download virtually anything just like that, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have an entirely new set of 2019 problems. Backup is still very much a problem (even with the cloud), and we still worry about speed and bandwidth limitations every now and then. Read more…
