The Google Assistant just learned another new trick: Sending money to your friends.

The new peer-to-peer money transfer feature lets iOS and Android users use Google’s digital assistant to send and receive money to each other using Google Pay (formerly Android Pay and Google Wallet).

According to Google, sending money to friends and family is free and works with two easy voice commands.

To send money, say “Hey Google, send Jane $15 for lunch today.” And to request money, say “Hey Google, request $20 from Sam for the show tonight.” Transactions require authentication with a fingerprint or passcode. Read more…
