New Yorkers attend Halloween Parade after attack in lower Manhattan

The incident in lower Manhattan where a truck rammed into pedestrians and cyclists, leaving eight killed and 11 wounded, didn’t stop New Yorkers from taking part in the annual Halloween parade.

Thousands of people descended in Manhattan’s West Village wearing scary, theatrical costumes, in a show of defiance and solidarity with the victims.
