Ryan Reynolds to voice the titular Pikachu in ‘Detective Pikachu’ movie

Not only does this Pikachu solve crimes, he speaks English and does so in shockingly deep voice.

Ryan Reynolds was cast to voice Detective Pikachu in the upcoming live-action movie Detective Pikachu, The Hollywood Reporter reported WednesdayDetective Pikachu is set to start filming early next year and will be the first official live-action Pokémon movie in the franchise’s 21-year history.

Detective Pikachu will center around the gumshoe Pokémon and the starring human played by Justice Smith, whose character’s father has been kidnapped, and a helpful journalist played by Kathryn Newton.  Read more…
