This mobile garden grows on top of your bicycle

People’s Industrial Design Office, a sister company of People’s Architecture Office, which we have covered before, came up with the idea of Bike Share Farm during a 72-hour coding marathon in Seoul organized by the Art Center Nabi. They created a bike frame that attaches to almost any bicycle and puts in use a hydroponic system that lets you grow plants even if there is no soil.

This system is solar powered and essentially makes it possible for people in vertically developed megacities to get involved in communal urban farming activities, especially in places where actual garden spaces are almost obsolete. Read more…
