Kickstarter can be a fickle mistress, and you never truly know how backers will respond to a project. For instance, we know that they love exploding kittens — they threw nearly $9 million towards a card game based on that premise — and that they’re willing to give more than $55,000 to a random guy who just wanted potato salad.
