Apple’s Clips app gets a boatload of new AR and ‘Star Wars’ effects for iPhone X

You can now add Clips to the growing list of apps that are ready for the iPhone X.

Apple just announced its biggest update yet since it first released the social video app in April. The Clips app now features a redesigned iPhone X-ready interface, including new augmented reality effects, and Star Wars-themed stickers and effects.

Apple is using the update to show off the power of the iPhone X’s TrueDepth camera, and nowhere is that more apparent than in a new feature the company is calling “Selfie Scenes.” Sort of like Snapchat’s “World Lenses,” Clips can create an animated 360-degree scene you can explore by moving the camera around.
