Good news, everyone: ASCII bunnies are back!

You may have noticed a flood of socially progressive bunnies marching across your Twitter feeds over the weekend, holding little ASCII protest signs with their little ASCII bunny paws.

Although ASCII bunnies have been around for a while, variations of the meme can be traced back to 2013, according to Know Your Meme. It took off, dominating timelines through 2014 until the New York GOP tried to use it and killed the meme entirely.
