AeroMobil’s new electric flying car concept is a sporty 4-seater

Flying cars are more down to earth than ever – at least, in that their physical design is moving closer to something resembling a car. The AeroMobil 5th generation all-electric VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) concept is no exception, with styling that makes it look sort of like a near-future SUV or crossover, with a […]

Watch the Airbus Project Vahana prototype autonomous air taxi take flight

Airbus recently had the first ever successful flight of its Vahana autonomous air vehicle, and now it’s released video of that pivotal moment in the aircraft’s development. The flight took place at the end of January in Pendleton, Oregon, when the flying, passenger-capable drone took off and hovered off the ground about 16 feet in the air, all while piloting itself. The next step… Read More

DJI’s latest drone leaks ahead of launch

DJI is supposed to announce a new drone tomorrow but this appears to be it. Called the Mavic Air, the small drone looks to be a combo of foldable Mavic Pro and the affordable Spark. I’m interested. Passengers on Hawaiian Airlines flight got to kiss 2017 goodbye twice

TwitterFacebook

Back to the Future is real, just not the way our ’80s selves imagined it would be.

Last night, Hawaiian Airlines Flight HA446 took off in Auckland, New Zealand in 2018, and arrived in Honolulu, Hawaii in 2017, proving that time travel is real — sort of.

The flight technically left Auckland at 12:05 am on January 1st, before arriving in Honolulu at 9:45 am December 31st, having crossed multiple time zones.

Time travel is possible!

United gave its final 747 aircraft a 1970s sendoff

TwitterFacebook

United flight 747 made history Tuesday morning.

The flight from San Francisco to Honolulu was the final flight on the airline’s last Boeing 747 aircraft. It all came fill circle after the first commercial flight departed on the same route on June 23, 1970 — 47 years ago.

This wasn’t just any old takeoff — it was an homage to the ’70s with the flight crew decked out in original uniforms and even the ticket jackets throwing it back a few decades.
