Fall TV is imminent, which means there are dozens of new shows competing to become everyone’s new weekly obsession and even more established favorites coming back for another round. 

Here are the eight returning TV shows whose new seasons look like the most exciting — from the fifth season of Netflix’s dark comedy Bojack Horseman to the fourth and final curtain call for Crazy Ex Girlfriend.

Fall is every TV lover’s favorite season because it’s when the networks pull out their big guns. There are tons of new dramas, comedies, procedurals, and supernatural shows coming up in 2018; here are some of the most promising. 

For those who wish Gossip Girl ditched the subtext…try You (Sept. 9, Lifetime)

You features Penn Badgley as a man who stalks a woman on the internet and molds himself into her perfect man until she falls in love with him. Though that does sound like the central, albeit hidden premise of Gossip Girl, You is a more frightening take on the dangers of having one’s entire life splashed all over the internet. Badgley’s character’s overt attentions may to be find love, but the whole “definitely starts murdering people to get what he wants, also what he wants is a human woman who deserves agency” thing is a lot.  Read more…
