A father has shared the emotional text messages his daughter has been sending to her grandfather, years after he passed away.
Radio presenter James O’Brien shared the texts, which he said were sent by his youngest daughter, in a tweet on Saturday.
“My youngest has had my old phone for a couple of years,” he explained. “Just for games, which I download for her before disconnecting the internet.
“Still has my old contacts though & it turns out she’s been messaging my dad, who died 5 years ago.”

If someone told you a grime music video made by two British grandfathers was going viral, you’d probably expect it to fall into the “so bad it’s good” category.
But the video above is just plain good.
The track was posted on YouTube about a week ago by Sindhu World — a London corner shop with an arm in music production which has previously been covered by the likes of Vice. On Thursday the music video — which features two men, Pete and Bas, rapping — reached the top page of Reddit’s r/videos sub.
