If you want to pull off amazing photos that look professional, you’ll need to learn some skills. A basic understanding of lighting, composition, and color are all necessary — but before you can even get started on that, you’ll need a good camera and a remote to operate it. And as far as that last part goes, the Spark Camera Remote is about to be your new best friend.

The Spark Camera Remote was successfully funded on Kickstarter, and it’s easy to see why when you read about its capabilities. The Spark Camera Remote is really three remotes in one — a wired remote, an infrared remote with 100 feet of range, and a remote for your smartphone that controls your camera with an app like some kind of super-millennial. Using voice commands and hand gestures, you’ll be able to make and answer calls, send messages, and ask Alexa to do something for you. You can even receive push notifications from other apps. But the app and peripheral were only available for Apple products, which left Android users kind of alienated. Prynt is looking to change that by finally releasing a version for Android products — with a little help from Kickstarter first.
